The cover art features Baldwin in the classic Charlestown Chiefs jersey alongside the team's supporting cast, with the memorable tagline "Plus ca change, plus c'est pareil" (the more things change, the more they stay the same). Slap Shot 2 continues the legacy of the beloved 1977 hockey comedy classic, bringing the rowdy, brawling comedic hockey formula to a new generation while retaining nods to the original film's irreverent humor. As a French Canadian release specifically, this VHS holds particular appeal for Quebec hockey and comedy film fans given the sport's massive cultural significance in the province.
